Excited to get back on the bikes after unexpected delay in Sydney, we said goodbye to Mum and Dad and hit the road! It was a day of beautiful weather on the ride south to Kangaroo Valley, we took the scenic route along the Grand Pacific Drive and enjoyed the views from Sea Cliff Bridge near Stanwell Park before a quick stop in Kiama for lunch.
Arriving in Kangaroo Valley we setup camp, trying out a slightly new setup with an extra tarp under the old tent to prevent water getting through the floor. It was put to the test later that night during a big thunderstorm, we just made it in the tent before the rain started bucketing down.
