Cycle Touring Malaysia - Kota Tinggi to Mersing
We made it to Mersing yesterday at around 1pm after almost 6 hours in the saddle, it was a tough slog, especially the last 10-15km. We’ve done longer legs before but never in heat like this, we went through about 10 litres of water between us so we weren’t dehydrated but our bodies were still overheating.
Cycle Touring Malaysia - Johor Bahru to Kota Tinggi
It’s 5:30am local time and we’re about to leave Johor Bahra (JB to the locals) and head up to Kota Tinggi.
Cycle Touring Australia - Genoa to Lakes Entrance
After 5 days straight of cycling and 350km we were pumped for our 2 day break in Lakes Entrance. We picked this town for a break because it looked really scenic on the pics we found online and it looked like a decent sized town which we were hanging for after so many small towns, we miss the city!
Cycle Touring Australia - Narooma to Genoa
A relatively short 35km ride since our legs were still feeling the burn after two 70km days back to back, we went off the Princes Hwy towards the coast via Bermagui Rd after hearing good things about the route from a few people we’d met on the way, and it didn’t dissapoint with some pretty spectacular views going through Wallaga Lake.
Cycle Touring Australia - Sussex Inlet to Narooma
The route we took to Bawley Point went south from Sussex Inlet and cut through the Conjola State Forest before linking back up with the Princes Hwy.
Cycle Touring Australia - Sydney to Sussex Inlet
For our first big cycle trip we decided to challenge ourselves by riding from Sydney to Melbourne. Up until this point the furthest we’d cycled in a single trip was 120km so it was a big jump but we felt like we were ready.
Our First Blog Post!
This is the first of what we hope will be many blog posts over the coming years. At the moment we’re living in Sydney and preparing for a 6 month cycle trip around Europe next year, a plan that’s been about 3 years in the making so we’re both extremely excited that it’s finally (almost) here!
